C/C++/Java/VB6/VB.NET/C#.NET/PHP/ASP/ASP.NET/JavaScript(&AJAX)/AutoIt/FoxPro/VFP/Batch/Brainfuck/(X)HTML/CSS Yup, I'm awesome. neotifa wrote: ((could include web dev I guess, though it's not technically programming)) Lies. There are still client side & server side scripting languages, which are classed as programming.

 Re: programming
I think the only programing relevant for most games would be C++

 Re: programming
And you think wrong, good sir. Xbox arcade games are mostly made with C#/XNA. Not sure about actual platform releases, think it's C#/DirectX, but I could be wrong. As for PS3, C++/OpenGL is used often, though I've played a lot of games that were written in Lua, too. Mobile platforms are primarily Java. Realistically, games are written in whatever language the programmer chooses. But a lot of people prefer C++ for its low-level capabilities and its speed. (Which, on modern technology, is really fractional, and not at all noticeable by the end user if coded properly in other languages)
